Tennis courts
Tennis is very popular in SF. More than 100 outdoor free public tennis courts are to be found everywhere in the city. In addition, the Golden Gate Park Tennis club offers 21 courts recently renovated you have to book in advance for a few symbolic dollars.
Good to know :
You can play with a view at Alice Marble Park (Russian Hill), Corona Heights (Noe Valley), Alta Plaza, Alamo Square.
You can play when it's dark at Mission Dolores Park or Portola.
For private tennis clubs, you will need to pay a membership fee and annual subscription fees. Clubs usually offer tennis classes for adults and children and more fitness activities (pilates, yoga...) for the whole family.
