Swimming pools in San Francisco

Hamilton Pool Geary at SteinerHamilton Pool Geary at Steiner

There are nine public swimming pools in San Francisco, including one outdoor pool in the Mission open only in the Summer (close for renovation since April 2011). Price (as of january 2011): $5/adult and $1/kid. For more information: SF Rec.

You will be glad to know that the Hamilton Pool has also 2 water slides. You can even see them from Geary at night when passing by. Schedules change during summer. In the meantime, there are usually 2 short windows open to the public on Friday (2:30pm-3:30pm) and Saturday (1pm-3pm). Have fun! Kids are gonna love them!

And the one in the Mission is outoor. Good to know when San Francisco feels like in summer, real summer.

And here are 2 outdoor swimmingpools you should want to know near San Francisco...

The Community Pool in Brisbane. Warmth, sun and proximity with San Francisco. Keep in mind also it is a great place to throw kids birthday parties.

The Burlingame Aquatic Club. Same story... warmth, sun and proximity.

Up north, you will want to know the swimming pool of the Mill Valley Community Center. Indoor but with a slide. That's the icing on the cake,

Have fun.
