San Francisco puts an end to January with its Restaurant Week.
The SF Restaurant Week is on. The Janauary tradition is back as always to celebrate the culinary SF realm and art.
In January, some of us go on a diet, some others are even more radical and choose to fast, other ones try some cleansing-detox programs... and all the other ones left?... They go to a restaurant and have lunch or dinner.
A bit more than 15 years ago, San Francisco Travel initiated the program Dine About Town, organized twice a year.
This year, as since 2015, the Golden Gate Restaurant Association is now in charge and implemented some changes.

If you really get involved and go at least 4 times to one of the participating restaurants, you can join the contest and try to win $1200 in gift cards to different restaurants in SF. In French, we're used to say ''L'appétit vient en mangeant''. Literally... The appetite comes with the eating. There, it makes totally sense.
Check @eatdrinsf on Instagram about the contest and giveaway details.
16 FRENCH RESTAURANTS
16 French or French-American restaurants français are participating to this 2019 edition.
Garçon on Valencia, the downtown ''Cafés'' Bastille, Claude, de la Presse, Le Central ... they are all pilars of the local French community.

AND ALL THE OTHER ONES...
Off the French beaten tracks... try La Mar whose ceviches and vew never disappoint, try the Waterbar in the sam area, Blue Plate on Mission close to Bernal Heights is a good address to know. Skool never disappointed us either with its seafood menu with some Japanese inspired flavors and allures sometimes. August (1) Five is a deligth: just next to the City Hall, in a huge space, it offers an outstanding modern Indian Cuisine. We liked Barvale on Divisadero. Our 2 favorite tapas are the crudo and the setas. And don't hesitate to cross the bridge to Sausalito and make a reservation at Sushi Ran, the sushi mecca in the Bay Area (and it happens that their cocktails are to die for!)
The SF Restaurant Week... way to short to try them all! But take your time, indulge yourself, go out with friends and explore new neighborhods at the same time.
