CNN claimed that ''11 trillion gallons of rain'' would be necessary to end current drought in California. They even converted in Olympics swimming pools, Foot stadiums, compared with the Niagara Falls... Hard to figure out.

On CBS, they took a closer look at statisics and they are impressive!

San Jose is already #2 on the all-time wettest December list with 7.44 inches of rain. Put another way, the Bay Area’s most populous city has received 736 percent of its average December rainfall. Oakland (455 percent) and San Francisco (424 percent) aren’t that far behind. Read CBS article.

Those were December figures. SF is supposed to get 6 inches thanks to this Pineapple Express episode. No need to be an expert to know it is not going to be enough. The Time Article.
