Best spots in San Francisco to run and jog
Let’s talk about cycling and running…
And as long as we are in San Francisco, it is going to be all about treating yourself, your body and… your eyes!
For cycling, we drew up a list with our top 5 best bike rides.
No need of a coach, nor a membership, but invite family and friends and enjoy the view! What a bliss…
There is a galore of running and hiking spots, one nicer than the other. Pick up one down below and … run!!!
Crissy Field – A sure bet! You’ve got the GGB, the Bay and … it’s flat!!
Ocean Beach – OK, might be foggy sometimes, but it is even better and healthier to breathe. The ocean, as far as the eye can see, powerful and loud, stimulating both intellectual thought and physical effort.
Polo Field – Famous spot in the GGP, but not only for runners (dog walkers love it as well). You will know exactly and right away the distance you covered (thanks to the 1200 meter laps). The Kezar Stadium is another good spot, it’s more central but you run on ‘’hard ground’’ compared to the dirt track @ the Polo Field.
The Presidio – Beautiful and magnificent , but also… athletic environment. Steep path!
Lyon street steps – Close to Broadway. Breathtaking view upon the Palace of Fine Arts! And climbing stairs is so good to shape up and firm ‘’buttock’’, thigh and abdominal muscles!
Dolores Heights – Close to Hill Street and Sanchez (top of the hill actually) and around the Dolores Park. Another jaw dropping view. You might even forget about the pain… or not. Walk, hike or even run, forwards, backwards, sideways… and turn Dolores Heights from a scenic view spot into a boot camp set.
Twin peaks – Yet another way to take profit from the uneven and hilly landscape. You’ll be rewarded for your efforts with the ‘’wahoo’’, outstanding, overwhelming… panoramic view on San Francisco!
San Francisco… because you’re worth it!
