BEING 17

in

BEING 17, the latest fim by French director André Téchiné, is now showing in San Francisco and Berkeley.

Here it comes. The latest movie by André Téchiné, that was presented last June at the Frameline40, just got released in San Francisco and Berkeley, in Landmark Theaters.

Being 17 is a beautifuland moving love story, it is also like a chronicle about teenage years with their violence, their passion, their excesses... Sandrine Kiberlain is deeply touching as a mother and a wife. And the 2 young actors have such a great presence that makes the story real, not only a tale.

The story in brief...

Damien lives with his mother Marianne, a doctor, while his father is on a tour of duty abroad. He is bullied by Thomas, whose mother is ill. The boys find themselves living together.
