WITH THE SF OPEN STUDIOS, MEET THE ARTISTS OF SAN FRANCISCO
Each year, ArtSpan presents each year the SF Open Studios, the country's oldest and largest event of its kind.
What is it all about ? Art for sure!
Emerging and established local artists (almost 800) participate in this art event. During a month, every weekend, they open their studios for free and show their artwork.
A great opportunity to get to know local artists and eventually purchase works often at affordable prices.
Basically, it is such a great and creative way to canvas the city and its neighborhoods.
Each week end has its own neighborhoods...
Week-end 1: October 15 & 16, 2016.
Hunters Point Shipyard and Islais Creek Studios.
We like the furniture creations by Golden Gate Furniture Co, the photographies by Paul Gralen or the urban industrial inspiration of Jenny Robinson. Choice range is wide and talents immense.

SFOS HUB Exhibitions offer permanent or temporary exhibits with local artists and you will find at there the SF Open Studios guide for the different week ends.
Among them, in the Sunset, on Irving, we love Three Fish Studios and their bears in love with California by Annie Galvin.
