THE TLF IS GOING TO GET A MAKEOVER TO SERVE EVEN BETTER ITS CULTURAL PURPOSE

in

The TLF (aka Théâtre du Lycée Français de San Francisco) is in need of some makeover. A large fundraising campaign was launched recently. Here is why and how to contribute and become a sponsor.

If you are Francophile and steady readers of LostinSF, you already know the TLF, you most probably have been there already. It is not only the auditorium of a school, but a Theater with a cultural clout that goes way beyond the school itself and reaches out the French speaking and Francophile community in San Francisco and the Bay Area.

It is true that one of the ''raison d'être'' of the TLF is to bring French shows to San Francisco. But one of the makeover's purpose is to improve the acoustic system, and thus allow the venue to welcome new partners, artists and cultural events, with movie screenings for example or more concerts whose language is universal. The local band Barrio Manouche performed there already and conquered the public with its creative energy.

To achieve this project and contribute to make the TLF the local flagships for French American cultural scene, the Lycee Français de San Francisco has launched a fundraising campaign to inform and convince local sponsors to contribute to this great enterprise. Here is a short video that details the project and its ambiton.

Contributing to this campaign is a way to support the French American cultural aura and help it thrive in San Francisco and the Bay Area.
