Steven Alan: Classic with a twist
The American designer Steven Alan recently opened a store in San Francisco, in Hayes Valley. At last! If you have already shopped in New York or Los Angeles, or simply online, you know that this is good news for San Francisco fashion scene.
The new store in Hayes Valley is bright and well organized with a minimalist, bare and simple design. We love the preppy chic style of the clothes, their classic cuts with a twist of modernity, the well curated selection of brands from all over the world, some from France like Le Mont St Michel or Armor Lux, and Canada Goose, ESP no1, Sessun, Filson… just to name a few, the accessories, boots, jewels, tights, socks, belts, bags… and the soaps and “eaux de cologne” from Atelier Cologne.
We definitely like the casual style (more on the upscale side), and yet trendy as in "New York Bobo" trendy. The different labels of the selection including Steven Alan itself, create kind of an harmony sharing the same taste for sweet and soft hues, refined lines with elegant and sometimes old-school fabrics.
A bit of Tribeca, Brooklyn and East Hampton landed in the trendsetting Hayes Valley.
