Nineteenth century impressionist artists were captivated by sailing, races and boats... The Legion of Honor explores their passion for water with its new exhibition Impressionists on the Water. 

 

 

 

 


The Castro Theater features a mini-retrospective of nine Alfred Hitchcock silent movies. Little known compared to his later californian work, they are nevertheless very "Hitchcockian". 

 

 

 

 


Summer in SF would not be complete without the Stern Grove Festival, a unique festival of free outdoor Sunday concerts. Dee Dee Bridgewater, Pink Martini, SF Symphony…. Grand opening on June 16 with a picnic.
