CHARLIE HEBDO, GHIBLI, KIDS MOVIES, A NEW MARKET PLACE, FRENCH FASHION, RESTAURANT WEEK
IT HAPPENS IN SF... OR AROUND!
We are still shocked by the terrible tragedy. And we keep reading or listening to different speeches or stands that are sometimes questionnable or unsettling. MyFrenchFilmFestival started last January 16 for a month. And it just added the documentary C'est dur d'être aimé par des cons (It's hard to be loved by assholes) covering the lawsuit after Charlie Hebdo published the controversial Danish cartoons almost 10 years ago. A great way to feed our thought and reflection on the matter. The documentary is available for free. Bright initiative!
GHIBLI FOREVER...
This coming week end is all about movies for kids. Spend some time at the Bay Area International Children's Film Festival in Oakland or enjoy a good Ghibli movie at the YBCA. Your call.
The BAICFF at the Chabot Space and Science Center is back as usual in January. Enjoy a long program of short movies, series, workshops, feature films.
At the YBCA, you will have a choice. You can go with or without the kids. Ghibli at its best and the inner Ghibli. Take a closer look at the showtimes.
The Market on Market, the new, very conceptual place to be to do your grocery! We went there for the opening. Follow us and visit the Market.
Acoté... the French brand will open its first location in the US... in San Francisco! The new French fashion address in SF.
The former Dine About Town became the San Francisco Restaurant Week. Actually 10 days to indulge yourself. Some ideas to help you make a choice.
