Useful Addresses

As an introduction…

Contrary to one might think, San Francisco is a bikers friendly city, and its uneven ground should not discourage bikers of good will...

You can dodge the hills, or even, ignore them, living in a quite flat neighborhood (like the Mission, Lower Haight, SOMA...)

Riding his/her bike in San Francisco is a way of life, a political stand, but basically.... and physically for sure, a challenge!

So, renting a bike is a good way to start as a future city rider.

It is also a pretty good way to discover the city through beautiful and amazing tours from the Piers to Sausalito, Ocean Beach...

Last but not least, it is a good idea for an entertaining Sunday with friends and/or family.

To start with... some things you should know...

Public transportation in San Francisco includes:

MUNI (San Francisco Municipal Railway).

This SF city and county system consists of the buses (54 lines), trolley buses (17 lines), light rails (J, K, L, M, N lines), cable cars (3 lines) and one Street Car (F-Market).

The MUNI is connected to other service companies that reach suburban cities around the Bay :

BART, CALTRAIN, AC TRANSIT and SAMTRANS.

Calling a cab in San Francisco is not as easy and funny as in NY!!

Forget about the yellow cab braking in front of you as soon as you think of raising your hand.

But, if you have the appropriate phone number saved on your Iphone, you'll get one quite quickly.

So here are some numbers to call...
