NBA IN SHORT

The Golden State Warriors have started another crazy season! Best timing to give some hints and clues to people who never watched NBA games. Yes, that happens:-)

Here are some keywords, steps, events that you should keep in mind :

Western and Eastern Conference.

They each are divided in 3 divisions.

The championship will lead to the selection of the 8 best teams in each conference. So many games! 82 per team for the regular season only!

Play-offs

They allow to select the 4 best teams in each conference.

1st round : no specific name.

2nd round : Conference semifinals

3rd round : Conference finals.

For each round, each team plays an opponent in a best-of-seven series following a pattern: 2-2-1-1-1 (home-away-home-away-home). The first to win 4 games is qualified for the next round.

NBA finals

The Western Conference champion will play the Eastern Conference winner.

Same format (best of seven) but with a different pattern: 2-3-2 (home-away-home).
