Madewell reunites with French brand Sezane for a capsule collection with a serious Parisian twist.
This re-collaboration of Madewell with Parisian brand Sézane is a good opportunity for us to make a tiny fashion focus that you should like.
Madewell... no need to introduce the Amarican brand. We all got used to its great, elegant and yet simple collections. At the first sight, one could notice a connection with J Crew. But it happens that Madewell asserted itself through its obvious modern twist and a constantly reaffirmed creativity. When their first store in SF opened a few years ago, of course, we talked about it on LostinSF. French feel well in Madewell.
Madewell maintained its hip and artsy style, casual and elegant, young but not teenager, great denim stuff, gorgeous shoes, creative accessories. Madewell fits perfectly with its time and success is there.
Sézane... you may not know Sezane, even though, Madewell and the French brand already collaborated in 2014. Sezane is that brand that everybody talks about in Paris, in the magazines and on the fashion blogs.
Morgane Sezalory created it after having developed Les Composantes, a way to offer her vintage findings. She now offers her collection online and at the Appartement where customers can try her creations and discover different other items in a cosy, very Parisian, très très chic environment.
When Madewell'' and ''Fait avec amour''
work together,
that leads to an adorable capsule collection,
''bien faite'' and ''madewithlove''.
(litte pun easy to understand based on translations of each brand's claim).
Their collaboration seemed so obvious. Because Madewell has something French or that appeals to French women.
The result is really cool with stripes and flowers, with faux fur and denim, with heels and bags, tops and dresses for a collection with a casual, Parisian, French, modern flair.
We wanted to make a short selection, but, to tell the truth, we love everything. That said, we really fell for the Tomboy Top. Take a look at it and at the whole collection.
