A KIDS MOVIES FESTIVAL IN OAKLAND
The 8th edition of the Bay Area International Children's Film Festival at the Chabot Space and Science Centerin Oakland will take place January 30 & 31, 2016.
The festival mainly presents short films, but also animation movies and live action films, offering families a cinematic view of the world’s varied cultures and tradition. Activities and hands-on aimation workshops are also offered throughout the week-end for children 7-14.
The Festival lasts two days. You can buy tickets for one day or the whole week-end. For example, a week-end pass costs $65 giving access for two adults and two children. You have to register for the workshops.
The week end program is rather dense and exciting as usual. 2 full length feature films with Mermaids on Mars, an animated movie and The Black Stallion, to wake your memories up.
The short films selection looks awesome and filled with creativity, poetry and cleverness. Take a look for instance at L'envol, Dimitri in Ubuyu or Otto.
Actually, they look all very cool. Watch the trailer and, then, you can be sure to be in Oakland for the whole week end.
A great yearly event to share amazing and precious moments with our little ones.
