Pizza+pétanque in Sausalito
Going out at Bar Bocce in Sausalito is almost like going out in St Tropez, France, in August, minus the French stars.
In spite of its name, Bar Bocce is not a bar, but a restaurant, where you can eat delicious Italian pizzas (the “squash blossom burrata” wuth its salty crust is amazing) and fresh salads. You can eat inside if you are sensitive to the cold or impatient (wait outside could be long), outside on the patio under the pergola or by the fire pit, and even on the small beach overlooking the water and Sausalito’s Marina.
But what is really original and fun about this place is the ball court (Bocce in Italian, yes, you did get it!). Write your name on the chalkboard, and wait your turn while drinking your cocktail. Hummm… What a perfect way to extend your summer vacation!
