A Saturday at the Farmers’ Market

The Farmers' Market at the Ferry Building is one of the best places to spend a Saturday morning, to shop sustainable ingredients or simply to stroll. There you will find fresh flowers in abundance, colorful organic fruits and vegetables (figs, pears, grapes in the Fall ; strawberries, peaches and apricots in Spring…), cheeses from nearby farms as good as the ones from the markets of Normandy, France, and many other delicious products.

It can be pretty expensive, and the parking is not free, but once in a while, it is really fun.

If you have some time, try the takeaway food sold at certain booths.

Our recommendation:

Holy Smoked Salmon, for their smoked salmon served on fresh bread with cream cheese.

Roli Roti, for its rotisserie. Stand in line (there will be one, that’s for sure!), order a sandwich and go eat it along the Bay.

Namu at the Ferry Building, for their Korean Tacos. We won’t tell you what it is! Just try!

Scream Sorbet, because it is the "ice-cream spot" of the moment! Their flavors are all delicious.
