Sunday, September 15, 2013

11:00am - 4:00pm.

Free admission to three museums, lively stages and plenty of kids activities and workshops. Busy funny day!

3 museums open their doors to families (the Contemporary Jewish Museum, the MoAD and the Children's Creativity Museum) and offer beside their current exhibitions, workshops, activities, readings... while the Yerba Buena Gardens will open their outdoor stage to live concerts and performances.

Among all the activities, you should love... the Carousel near the Chidren's Creativity Museum, there, to explore the possibilities of stop-motion movie making in the Animation Studio (like Wallace and Gromit), at the MoAD, to create your own abstract chalk masterpiece or be part of the creation of a wide collage with textiles and photographs, contribute to the giant Wikki Stix art installation at the Contemporary Jewish Museum and listen to Alison Faith Levy's live performance or fianlly at the Yerba Buena Gardens, enjoy Lila Downs and her band's live show.

Have a wonderful family time. Even the SFMOMA will be part of the entertainment with the SFMOMA on the GO that will pop up here and there with creative activities of all kinds.

At the end of the day? Back home, kids will have a quick dinner, brush their teeth and fall asleep like angels. Enjoy your evening:-)
