The French phenomenon, Woodkid, will perform in San Francisco this coming Fall! If you don't know him already, you will fall under the spell!

Last November (2012...), we discover that Woodkid was going to give a concert at the Bimbo. We give a better look at him, and find an amazing artist. Musician, director and graphist, Yoann Lemoine is actually renowned for his videos for Katy Perry (Teenage Dream), Lana Del Rey (Born to die) or even Taylor Swift (Dreaming of another world).

At that time, no album yet, but EPs and gorgeous videos, especially Iron (2011). We fell in love at the first sight and listening.

Listen to it, enter the Black and white Woodkid's world and then you shoud understand why distress, melancholy, lyricism are words that come first to one's mind when talkinmg about his music and style. His video that he directed and that features the British model, Agyness Deyn, reminds us of another time, with insistent and nagging percussions that contribute to make the music addictive.

Unfortunately, the whole scheduled tour had to be cancelled.

Since then, he released his first album, Spring 2013: The Golden Age.

He directed himself the videos of the first 3 singles, including Iron, but also the magnificent  I love you.

With his deep and powerful voice, his solemn, nagging and sophisticated melodies, videos full of poetry, Woodkid offer symphonic shows with an apocalyptic atmosphere and yet, the public is enthousiastic, delighted and captivated.

No need to tell you how impatient we are for this coming concert.

See you at the Regency in October.
