Civic Center Plaza - Saint Patrick's day parade on Saturday, March 14, 2015 even though March 17 is the real green day... the Irish National day, celebrating Saint Patrick.

Primarily, a christian celebration that turned into a "not that religious" rendez-vous.

A green wave will break on San Francisco, in the streets, stores, schools, and ... Irish bars of course! Become an Irish for a day!

In New York, on 5th avenue, in front of the Saint Patrick's Cathedral, the parade usually gathered more than 2 million people.

In San Francisco also, the Irish community celebrates the day with a procession carrying its patron saint. It is a very popular event usually gathering about 100 000 people.

The Festival...

For its 2015 edition, the popular Festival will take place on Saturday, March 15, from 11am till 5pm at Civic Center Plaza.

A lot of festivities are forecast for families to spend a fun and friendly day: arts and craft exhibitors, pony rides, inflatables, food and drinks, live performances...

The Parade...

Over 5000 participants are expected for this traditional event. It is scheduled at 11:30am, starting at 2nd street and Market and leading to the Civic Center.

And on Tuesday March 17, don't forget to celebrate Saint Patrick by wearing something green.
