Westin St. Francis Hotel

Through January 3rd, 2012 at 335 Powell St, SF

This 12-foot tall sugar castle is a replica of a medieval French castle and village baked by executive pastry chef Jean-François Houdré. You wouldn't believe it's made of gingerbread if you weren't told so. Stunning! Our favorite...

Fairmont Hotel

Through January 1st, 2012 at 950 Mason St, SF

This is the largest  Gingerbread House the hotel has ever built (20-foot high), made with 7,500 gingerbread bricks. Spectacular!

Mark Hopkins InterContinental Hotel

1, Nob hill, SF

For those who are nostalgic of the lost San Francisco, here's a replica of the Mark Hopkins' original mansion. This magnificent mansion was built as he made his fortune thanks to the California Gold Rush with the Central Pacific Railroad company he founded. It stood on the top of Nob Hillbefore it was reduced to cinders due to the 1906 earthquake  and replaced by a new hotel in 1926.
