The band performed many times in SF in the last 3-4 years. They are back at the Independent, one of our favorite venues in SF.

A good friend of ours describe them the following way:

Dengue Fever... where Long Beach, California meets Cambodia. They remixed some cambodian folk songs (but not only) into eclectic, psychedelic pop pieces, highlighted by vocals of their singer Chhom Nimol.

Their appearances never go unnoticed, that's the least one may say. For one of their latest concert at the Independent, the organizers had to add another date on popular demand. Just a hint for the upcoming concert in February!

If you don't know the band, here is a Short preview for you to get a better idea.

The band is going to release its 7th album in Januaery 2015: The deepest lake. It is almost completely home-made and they promised they remained loyal to their ''psych/surf/Cambodian pop sound with African percussion'' style that makes their reputation.

Hope we inspired you and you will join the Friday the 13th NIght Dengue Fever at the Independent!
