FRENCH MARKET & WINE TASTING

JANET POMEROY CENTER
Sunday, April 22. 11am - 4pm.
This year, the Lycée Français La Pérouse has the pretty good idea to organize this new event that is based on the very Frenchy tradition of the Market place,
where people gather, meet each other, talk, exchange views in a very friendly, casual and relaxed environment.
The main idea is to invite people from the school community and way beyond to gather at the French Market to meet artists, caterers, wine makers and producers, vendors, basically to meet people if you're new in town or simply spend a good time with your family and friends.
French Market and Wine Tasting 1st edition will take place on Sunday, April 22 @ the Janet Pomery Center. Dozens of vendors and professionals will attend to show and sell their products and artworks, and introduce their experience and their knowledge.
Here is the plan...
Wine tasting with a dozen of local wineries and stores including Dashe Cellars or Swirl on Castro.
Wine tasting is even better if you can have something to eat. 7 food trucks will be there, gathered the same way Off the Grid initiated it. It is a French Market... so there will be crêpes and galettes for sure, but also the delicious pies from Vive la Tarte, to name only a few. Gastronome sunday! And we have not mentioned yet some vendors such as Gourmet & More or Fabrique Délices.
Among attendees, there will be also jewelry creators, floral creators, painters, kids stuff vendors, tableware linen ...
Some students will be on stage to play music (guitar, piano, violin...) and some of them will even be part of a fashion show.
And so many kids activities will be organized, like yoga classes, Capoeira sessions, golf... They are going to love it! There will be also arts&crafts workshops using recycled articles. It will be Earth Day!
