FOG FESTIVAL

Exploratorium - Pier 15

Saturday, September 28, 2013

12pm - 5pm

1st edition of this event to celebrate and explore the inner nature of our dear fog!

The fog in SF... most probably the first (and actually constant) topic in any conversation for any new people in town. Fog has its own charm, beauty, seasons, surprises. It can be both appealing and depressing. But in the end, if you love SF, you have to like its fog at least a bit.

Which museum better than the Exploratorium to organize this festival to explore and investigate one of San Francisco's most salient meteorological phemomena.

Watch Fog films in the Kanbar Forum with Simon Christen (www.simonchristen.com) attending. Based in Oakland, this photographer became renowned for his time lapse movies about SF and the Bay Area. Just take a look at a shortcut of Adrift. It is simply gorgeous and breathtaking.

Meet Fujiko Nakaya, the japanese artist behind the Fog Bridge, listen to EN, a musical duo who will perform outdoor accompanying the fog with some kind of a fleeting soundtrack near the Fog Bridge, discover the Fog Fall, work in progress exhibit, presented by its author, Charles Sowers...

There is always a good reason to go to the Exploratorium.

The Fog Festival is yet another one!
