Charles Dickens celebrates Xmas in San Francisco!

Did you know 2012 is the 200th anniversary of Charles Dickens' birth ?

So celebrate it this winter, traveling back to the Victorian era with 2 great family outings.

A Christmas Carol

This is a classic, based on Charles Dickens'novel, and it's a good way to kick off the holiday season..

ACT theater offers a great performance with songs , some great sense of humor and some spooky effects.

So it is not recommended for children under 5. Adults and kids enjoy the show equally !

Family entertainement, happy ending, Christmas carols... isn't it the holiday season spirit ?ACT

Great Dickens Christmas Fair

Now that you're in the ambiance, put your Victorian costume on (or not ) and be part of the Victorian era in person !

This fair is a truely unsual experience as you are dragged into the London streets of the early 19th and can eat, dance, watch old fashioned shows, shop and chat with costumed performers and actors !

So greet Charles Dickens' characters, meet the pirates on the London docks, order your fish N' Chips on Fish street, and if you feel like shopping a Victorian accessory (just a hat, or a corset for the most daring ones ?), go on Maiden Lane. At every corner, you can entertain the family with all sorts of shows (puppets, theater, dance, singing, mimes, real python…) as well as arts and crafts (pottery, printmaking...)
