Bombino, with the release of its 5th album, Azel, just annouced a great north American tour with San Francisco, Oakland and Santa Cruz in the loop! Mark your calendars! His concerts are real gems.

If you don't know him yet, we'll have only one thing to say. Don't miss for any reason Bombino's concert at The Independent on Saturday, April 23, 2016. And if you are rather East or South Bay, don't worry. The New Parish in Oakland will also welcome him, as well as the Kuumbwa Jazz Center in Santa Cruz.

Bombino... is definitely one of our best concert recommendations. For us, the experience at the Independent back in August 2014, has been like an epiphany filled with emotions. Since then, he already came back in the Bay Area. And those who read our article at that time and followed our advice were grateful for it. Thank you very much for your messages. We were so glad we could share and contribute, even modestly, to his success.

Bombino... he is like a star but with modesty and humility, he has the talent and genuine skill, with beaming smile and generosity. We are total fans and be aware that that's what's going to happen to you at the first sight and listening.

His new album and concerts calendar was announced by Rolling Stone on January 19, 2016.

''The result, fifth album Azel, is a leaner set than Nomad, with a brighter tone and a greater focus on Bombino's mad guitar flow. His collaborator this time was Dave Longstreth, point man for avant-pop avatars Dirty Projectors and a guitarist with a feel for offbeat style.''

Listen to ''Inar'' with a video shot in the studio, enhancing his skill at guitar playing. You cannot help but feeling astonished and admiring.
